The Simpsons Season 15 DVD
« On: August 28, 2012, 02:22:07 PM »
It's supposedly going to be released on December 3 in the UK.

I'm not really one to give a shit about the US, but that'd be December 4.

Only one new boxset  year. They will not catch up before the DVD media is obsolete.

Some people seek justice so persistent, that they will do great injustice themselves.

They don't need to. Once season 20 rolls around, they can easily release on Blu-Ray exclusively if they wanted to.

After all, only the first three seasons were ever released on VHS from Season 4 onwards the show was released on DVD exclusively until Season 13 when they added Blu-Ray to the mix.

Well. As a (The) collector i would like to have the whole series on one and the same media. All this restarting the series is annoying. Makes one loose interst. Especially when you know that if they got there fingers out, they COULD have kept to the two a year schedule.

As long as they're released on optical media I can play on my laptop, then I'm happy.

It's one reason why I haven't bought the Blu-Ray for Seasons 13 and 14, since I don't have a Blu-Ray drive for my laptop, even if I do have a Blu-Ray player in the house (the Playstation 3).

There are cheap Blu-Ray drives, but most are either Slim or Top loaders. I want a normal tray-loader drive, which are more expensive.

The boxes themselves are identical in size, so storage on the shelf makes no difference.

Outside of price, people aren't as picky when it comes to switching from DVD to Blu-Ray since Blu-Ray players are able to play DVDs, so replacing your collection isn't such a big deal compared to VHS.
