I've seen my fair share of shitty video games, such as Big Rigs Over the Road Racing, ET, Superman 64 and Sonic 06 to name a few. But a couple days ago, a new game was released called Final Fantasy: All the Bravest and it's one of the shittiest games I've seen to the point where you could say it offends me, and I haven't even bought the game and I still feel justified enough to say that.
In the game, which costs £2.50 for iPhone by the way, you swipe your finger across the screen to send your party to attack. That is it. You can't select which enemy, or which attack, that's done at random.
And the worst part about it is that when your characters die, in one hit I might add, you have to wait 3 minutes IN REAL TIME, for them to revive themselves. Given that you can have a party of 30 characters, that's an hour and a half. Sure, you could buy a Gold Hourglass to revive your entire party at once, thing is, THOSE COST SIXTY NINE PENCE for three. Which doesn't sound like a lot, but it adds up especially when there are enemies that are programmed to kill your entire party before you can slide your finger fast enough.
You could also buy "Premium Characters" such as Terra from Final Fantasy VI, Cloud from Final Fantasy VII or Squall from Final Fantasy VIII, yes buy, they also cost 69p per character, but the worst part is you can't select which character you want they're picked at random. So I could want Squall or Auron but get a Pig or Vaan instead. Meaning that it could be possible that I'd end up buying all 35 to get the character I want.
Lastly there are three extra worlds you can buy from VII, X and XIII. Those cost as much as the entire game, £2.50.
Square Enix could've had a nice game here. But they insulted the fans with the money-grubbing tactics.
